Terrible Triad Touring Agency: New Orleans

Yrael grins as she steps out from the bar and into the deserted alleyway and the New Orleans early evening. She glances over her shoulder to see Liz and Nikola follow her through the door, which closes behind them.

"We've got a while before I have to be there for my gig," she grins at them, "so I thought I'd show you around the French Quarter."

Since, and she may be ever so slightly sheepish about this, she hasn't gotten around to doing so before.

Liz's eyes are flickering over things brightly. She didn't travel much because in her world there were policies and protocols to follow to enter a city for travel, let alone visit for any length of time.

"I've never been out of St. Louis since I moved there, and only a small town in Texas before that." She grins, "So any new, fun city is good for me."

"New Orleans is most definitely a fun city," Yrael says, grinning. "Though it's hardly new."

"It believes itself older than it is."

And something in that speaks to Yrael. The not'cat likes this town.

"What would you like to do first? Visit eclectic shops? See interesting landmarks? Listen to Bourbon Street Performers? Have coffee and beignets at Cafe du Monde?"

Yrael is kind and doesn't suggest they take one of the many Haunted New Orleans or Anne Rice tours, despite the fun that could be had at the expense of the other tourists.

"Beignets are definitely on the agenda at some point," Nikola says, offering an arm to each of them. "But it's your city, my dear. What should we see?"

"New to me." Liz clarifies with a smile.

Liz slips her arm around one of Nikola's. She's heard of the Haunted tours. The place was kind of famous for them. Which is why there's a smirking, "We should take a tour and run commentary during it?" Because a wereleopard, a vampire, and a bright shiner on a creepy haunted tour is priceless?

A place famous for vampires, weres and people voodoo-ing people back from the dead.

Perfect for all three of them.

"What kind of tour?" Yrael asks, arching an eyebrow at Liz as she takes Nikola's other arm. "The vampire kind, the were kind, or the generic voodooOOOOoo haunted kind?"

So Yrael sometimes views New Orleans' tours like one might view the Jaws or Jurassic Park rides at Universal Studios theme parks.

"I'm not letting you two get away without trying the beignets."

Because Yrael's not the one wearing dark colors, and she knows how much powdered sugar Cafe du Monde likes to mountain on top of its beignets. ^_^

Yrael will have to be devious to get powdered sugar on Nikola's suit.

Good thing she's very good at that.

"What's in the generic voodooOOOOoo haunted kind?"

Innocent Liz is...anything but innocent. "All three?"

She's half curious what kind of stuff they're staying on the were kind. She's grinnning at the idea of trying the beignets, though.

Most experience Yrael has with Nikola's suit doesn't involve getting anything on it. Doesn't involve the word 'on' at all.

Much the opposite, in fact.

"All three aren't scheduled every night. There should be one or two scheduled for each evening, but they take a couple of hours each. The haunted New Orleans tours involve buildings famous for the mysteries surrounding them. Murders, disappearances, apparitions, curses, hexes, strange goings-on."

Yrael believes in the ability to bring people back from the Dead.

Just not here.

The deviousness, though. That she has experience with.

"Well...whichever is on tonight should be fine."

He's easy like Sunday morning. Which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone here.

Liz nods, "I agree with Nikola, whichever one is tonight."

She smiles sweetly, bumping Nikola's shoulder slightly, "What shall we do until tonight then, oh native of this land?" Head tilted a little to look at Yrael for the question.

They walk... no, they're practically sauntering... along Bourbon Street, arm in arm.

"We could check out some of the shops along Rue Royale. There's always something interesting in MS Rau and the other shops along there. Then maybe find one of the fliers for the tours to see which one we can catch, do that, drop by Cafe du Monde for coffee and beignets before heading to my gig?"

Nikola is definitely sauntering. He's got a beautiful woman on either arm.

"An excellent plan," Nikola says.

Liz is sauntering too. Granted she rarely ever moves without the added liquid grace from her lycanthropy.

"Lead us on, sister-mine," She says with a smile.

Yrael's walk is somewhere between a saunter and a slink, as it always is. She's even pretending to wear shoes, tonight, white, beaded triangles on her feet, each with a loop about her second toe from one point of the triangle, and each with a larger loop about her heel from the other two triangle points.

"MS Rau, first, I think," she grins. There's a piano she wants to visit.

"MS Rau it is," Nikola says. "Lead the way, my dear."

"MS Rau?" Liz asks curiously as the group makes their way down Bourbon Street and in the direction of Royal Street.

Liz has only heard about the vague talk you hear of New Orleans. Tours, Voodoo, and Mardi Gras.

"One of the more famous shops of quality antique furniture, jewelry and various curiosities in the French Quarter. Well worth the visit."

The mun wants their first edition of Sir Isaac Newton's Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica.

Nikola smiles wryly. "Antique is such a vague term."

It's quite possible he'd be considered an antique.

Liz perks slightly at the jewelry part. Antique jewelry is usually sparkly and shiny and pretty.

"It means old but still woth having?" Liz supplies helpfully with a smirk.

"Exactly," Yrael grins.

"A bit like fine wines," and vampires. "They accumulate value as they age."

"A concept I'm quite familiar with," Nikola assures them both.

Clearly he thinks he'll only be getting better with age as well.

Liz chuckles softly, "I'm sure."

She's seen it a bit in her own world as well as present company.

"And hopeful for?" Yrael grins at the vampire as they turn into a very well-looking shop full of interesting articles. Canes, sword-sticks, art pieces, sculpture, jewelry... many fine things populate its display windows.

"M.S. Rau, my friends," she says, holding the door for them.

The smell of the shop, in the mun's opinion, hovers somewhere around divine.

Nikola pointedly ignores the question, giving Yrael a Look. He glances around the shop and smiles.

It feels like home.

Liz can't help but chuckle as she enters the store. Bright eyes flicker over everything briefly, very cat trying to decide which direction to go because everything looks interesting and lovely. Though it won't take her long to detach from the two and head to the jewelry with a sound very much like, 'OoO!'

She's a girl. It's pretty. And she's a cat and it sparkles?
