The door from Milliways connects to the entrance to a large dance club, lit in varying shades of greens, blues, reds and oranges. The ceiling is high and black, decorated with hanging swaths of vividly-colored fabric. A black bar with a line of matching barstools lines one wall, lit from above by candles, from below by colored lights hidden under the rim of the bar itself. It is certainly well-stocked with many types of alcohol, and with actual bartenders to dispense it.

Down a short, central stairway the room opens up into the main dance floor, the walls and floor lit from within by ever-shifting colors, as well as light streaming down from the lights near the high ceiling, co-ordinated to match the current colors of the floor and walls. To the right of the entrance are various sitting areas of couches and comfortable chairs, all lit by a combination of candle-light and the light from the colored wall-panels.

The night is young, the music is playing, and the party's just getting started.

"Drink, flirt, dance....whatever you want to, really." He smiled as he watched Teja, tucking his hands back into his pockets. "It's just a place to have fun."

He pauses, with a small chuckle. "Not necessarily my definition of fun, in most clubs. So you're safe from that." For the time being...

"And if one comes with a lover, and would not flirt with strangers?" Teja says. "One could, of course, flirt with the one one brought..."

The changing colour of light, he finds, is truly baffling.

Charlie shakes his head, putting a hand on Teja's shoulder. "I don't know, really. I've never been to a club with somebody." He gives Teja a sideways smile.

Under his shirt he's wearing the gold eagle, which is reflecting the different colors of light. "You could flirt with me, if you wanted."

"I could try," Teja allows. "But I can not say 'Greetings, beautiful stranger' over drinks, to start that. How would one flirt with one that is already known, and dear?"

"You could just leave out the stranger part." He smiled, rising up on his toes to give Teja a kiss.

"Besides, you can flirt any way you want. There aren't any rules on it."

"There are no rules here!" Teja says, amused. "I might do something truly lewd, and get away with is!"

He kisses Charlie back, amazed, deep inside, that he is allowed to do this -- that none here, perfect strangers, will take umbrage!

Charlie laughs, and holds him close for that kiss; not so amazed as Teja is, but still surprised that he'd do it in front of so many people.

"Truly lewd, how?"

"I might pinch your rump?" Teja suggests. "I might slip my hand inside your shirt, and tickle your bare skin?"

"Well that would be interesting." He raises an eyebrow at the suggestion and smiles, only looking moderately impish as he slid his fingers up the back of Teja's shirt.

"You know that gives me ideas."

"I might not be ticklish?" Teja suggests, very neurally.

"You don't have to be, for what I'm thinking." He smiles innocently.

"Would I regret asking what that is?" Teja says, raising an eyebrow.

"Unless you've got issue going shirtless, I don't think so..." He chuckles lightly.

"I just wanted to touch you. Your skin is very soft."

"Going shirtless?" Teja asks, astonished. "As on a beach, or like a men doing heavy work in hot weather?"

"Yep." He smiles widely. "You'd look good."

"But then, all would ogle me!" Teja says.

"You don't like being looked at?" Charlie's opened the top few buttons of his shirt, exposing his collarbones.

"Not truly," Teja says. "Not by strangers, men or women that might desire me, stare at scars, or both."

He reaches out to run one feather-light fingertip over Charlie's right collarbone, remembering what he had said the other time.

Clavicle.

"I might roll up my sleeves," he allows.

He is wearing his clothes for going to future times tonight -- black leather breeches of timeless cut, a modern black silken shirt, the sleeves of which he now rolls up, exposing sinewy forearms. On the right, he is wearing the sliver cuff bracelet Charlie had given him; and, if one saw him from close by and in good light, there were some scars on it, his sword-arm, unprotected by his shield in battle; but they are thin and faint, three or five pale lines on equally pale skin.

Charlie doesn't have any scars that one could see, on his neck or his forearms; he's already had the sleeves on his shirt rolled up to his elbows. "I'll take that, gladly."

He puts his hand over Teja's, and flattens it out so that his palm is pressed to his chest lightly. "I like you touching me." He smiles, hooking the other hand into his pocket. The jeans he's wearing are already low-rise, and the weight of his hand isn't pulling them up any.

but that might just be on purpose.

Teja inclines his head, and touches his cheek, briefly, to Charlie's hand resting upon his own.

"I like being close to you," he says, "in the knowledge that you love me, just as I love you!"

"It's a good thing." He kissed Teja with a gentle smile. "I like you touching me. It's nice."

"You are beautiful," Teja says, "but that does not matter; what matters is that you are you. And I like touching you, because you are you, also."

"As are you, my love. As beautiful as anyone I've ever seen." He smiled very happily. "I don't want to move too fast...but I like the way you make me feel. It's entirely different, from anything else."

"But it is the feeling that counts, and who we are -- not the beauty!" Teja says.

Pause.

"Sometimes, there are those in Milliways that share faces," he adds. "If there were one that looks exactly like you, but is not you, I would not wish to touch him!"

He smiled. "I'm glad of that. And the same goes for you...but I doubt I could mistake you for someone else, even if you looked similar."

He pulled him close and kissed him softly. "You're quite unique, to me."
