Yrael has the information they'll need for their... field trip, that which Tesla helpfully procured for them about the Cabal. Yrael, Axel and Nikola have been planning this for quite a while, and since the Cabal seem to be stepping up their activity in regards to searching for Nikola, they decided that acting sooner was better than later.

Getting into Tesla's world is as simple as him opening the door and letting Axel and Yrael step through.

It takes Nikola a minute to greet them because it takes him a minute to realize they've arrived. When he gets there, though, he's grinning.

"Well? Am I hassle free for the foreseeable future?"

"What, you haven't been watching the news?" Axel asks, mock-offended.

"And here I was hoping news reporters would do the reporting for us," Yrael smiles dryly, removing the luckily unfried laptop from his pack. "Apart from a few pictures we took as mementos, they likely have better documentation."

"You should be substantially less hassled now, at least, Nikola," he says, the dry smile becoming more dry and a bit less of a smile. "A solid majority of the targets were legitimate."

Meaning some of them weren't. Which the informant had to have known.

Meaning she knew who she had been talking to.

"Why bother when I knew I'd be getting a firsthand account?"

Nikola follows that same thread of logic, and the grin slips from his face to be replaced by something considerably less pleasant.

"That bitch!"

Give him a moment, and he'll actually have something substantial to say about htat.

Axel just raises an eyebrow.

"Your informant," the 'bitch' previously mentioned, "gave misleading information on the Cairo, Istanbul, and Vancouver targets. Accurate in shape, but beyond that, completely wrong. Cairo's target turned out to be residential, Istanbul's a parking structure."

"And...Vancouver's?" He knows it's the Old City target. Yrael's name for it is unfamiliar but not entirely unknown.

"A trap," Axel replies, with a dismissive flick of his fingers.

"Yes. For you, actually," Yrael says, eyeing Nikola. He holds up between his fingers the business card they'd received in the tunnels under the Old City. "And not just for you."

Nikola takes the card and smiles dangerously. If Helen was handing out business cards, she can't have been too terribly hurt. Still, if Diane thought she could get away with hurting Helen, she had another think coming.

"I'm going to kill her." And from the look on his face, he's going to enjoy it. A lot.

"So I take it your informant gave you bad intel on purpose," Axel states dryly.

Yrael doesn't blame Nikola in the slightest.

"Helen offered us a place to lie low, afterward, but we thought it best to decline."

They had a place to lie even lower, after all, and needed to report. "We did, however, pass on the best regards of our nameless mutual friend before we left."

"I can't imagine she passed on poor information without realizing it." Diane was at least that intelligent.

"Did she find you as fascinating as I said she would?"

"She did seem quite interested, yes," Yrael smiled, glancing at Axel.

"Keen on inviting us in for a chat over tea, at the very least."

Axel laughs a little.

"Yeah, that's one way of putting it."

"And you turned her down for me? I'm flattered."

He may actually be telling the truth. Tea with Helen makes up many of Nikola's fondest memories.

"If I'm ever in the area again, and don't already have a destination, I will definitely take her up on the offer. I was interested to see that Sanctuary of hers."

It sounded like an undertaking, to do what she was trying to do.

"I'm just along for the ride," Axel says. "And the flambe."

"Unless it's changed drastically in the last sixty years, it's quite the impressive operation."

He'll put it on his To-Visit list. It's already a quite extensive list.

"Speaking of flambe," Yrael smiled. "I've been regaling Axel with tales of the deliciously spicy food to be found in Rio."

"I've been looking forward to it." Axel grins again.

"Hmmm," Nikola says, smirking. "I suppose I do owe you at least a dinner..."

At the very least.

"It should keep the Cabal out of your hair for a good long time while they are occupied with the mess and the threat of media attention. There shouldn't be anything to connect you to it, unless your informant wants to make it known that she deliberately passed you information that led to the destruction of seven of their ten major facilities."

"Somehow, I don't think she'll want to do that," Axel says, and his smile isn't very nice. "Now about dinner?"

"She's not that stupid, no." She may, in fact, be much smarter than Nikola was giving her credit for.

"Yes, dinner. Spicy, you said?"

He'll deal with his informant later.
