Yrael has the information they'll need for their... field trip, that which Tesla helpfully procured for them about the Cabal. Yrael, Axel and Nikola have been planning this for quite a while, and since the Cabal seem to be stepping up their activity in regards to searching for Nikola, they decided that acting sooner was better than later.

Getting into Tesla's world is as simple as him opening the door and letting Axel and Yrael step through.

It doesn't help Yrael's control any, and soon he's laughing helplessly as well, unable to stop.

While the guards look on, suddenly less sure than they had been.

"...I said, freeze! Hands where I can see them!"

"Oh-- Haha-- You. *snerk* Mean---" Axel raises his hands up, chakrams laced in his fingers, and then dissolves in another fit of laughter.

Yrael is holding his hands up more as a plea to stop making him laugh so hard. He's vaguely glad he doesn't have to breathe, or else he would've passed out by now.

"And drop your weapons!"

Axel.

Is thumping his hand.

Against the (half-melted) wall.

"This-- Can you believe--? Ahahaha--"

Yrael flops back against the nearest wall, snickering madly.

"Charter help us," he manages, faintly, in his helpless laughter.

"Stop talking!" one of the asbestos-suited guards demands, stepping forward with his men. "You're coming with us!"

"Ha--! As if!" Axel snorts, and thumps the wall again.

"Listen, you-" the leader yells, grabbing Axel's upper arm to pull him away from the wall and maneuver him into handcuffs while his squad covers him.

Quick as a whip, Axel snaps his hand around, getting a grip on the man in turn.

"Bad idea," is all he says. And then Axel's wicked, wicked grin is probably the last thing he sees, before he erupts into flames.

Suit and all.

The guards only get a split second to exclaim in surprise and ready their weapons before they are tackled to the ground by a still-laughing Bright Shiner, the brightly burning figure's laughter more like an ongoing crackle of thunder as the guards are engulfed in silver flames that may be more pure chaos than actual fire.

Axel cranks up the heat, melting the walls, slagging the floor---


---or maybe, it's just that the floor's been turned into lave.

It's much better than the sterilized, flat white that the place was before. Yrael approves. Or would, if he weren't currently employed in holding the last guard down against the lava, to see at what point that suit finally melts and catches fire of its own volition.

Interesting. (Yrael would still never make it as a scientist.)

What's left of the charred body is tossed away.

"Love the redecorating," says the Bright Shiner as he retakes his barefoot human form.

"Why thank you," Axel replies.

His taste is impeccable.

"Yes, I hear the hellfire and brimstone look has been sweeping the housing market across the globe, lately," Yrael says, grinning as he heads over to the security surveillance room to destroy the last of the computers there and the video recordings of what had just happened. "You should charge for your work."

"Unfortunately, my clients so seldom survive," he says with a dramatic sigh.

"Well, feel free to list me as a reference on your resume," Yrael grins, toothily, his white hair and skin lit with the reflected orangey-red of the lava. "I'll be sure to give you a glowing recommendation."

"I'd appreciate that," Axel says lightly.

A++ Would rampage with again.

"Come on. A picture of the artist and his work," Yrael grins, digging a small camera out of his bag.

Axel laughs, and strikes a pose.

The flash is bright, as the camera clicks.

Yrael laughs. "Got it."

"Excellent." Axel's grin is huge.

"Did we get it all, or should we glass it over, just to be sure?"

"Oh, make it shiny," Yrael snickers. "It'll be pretty for them that come later."

One must be considerate, after all.

"Let's go up then," he says with a grin.

[mogget_cat]

"The door is... this way," he says, after a moment of looking around.

It can be hard to tell, what with everything on fire and/or made of lava.

They head out, exiting onto a hillside overlooking the island's shore.

"Very nice," Axel says approvingly. "You take that side, I'll take that one?"

"All right," Yrael grins, and sets to it, silver fire flaring bright.
