Yrael has the information they'll need for their... field trip, that which Tesla helpfully procured for them about the Cabal. Yrael, Axel and Nikola have been planning this for quite a while, and since the Cabal seem to be stepping up their activity in regards to searching for Nikola, they decided that acting sooner was better than later.

Getting into Tesla's world is as simple as him opening the door and letting Axel and Yrael step through.

"Very nice," Axel says approvingly. "You take that side, I'll take that one?"

"All right," Yrael grins, and sets to it, silver fire flaring bright.

And Axel's fire is red and orange and yellow, with flickers of blue in the hottest parts, where it melts things the fastest, and--

On impulse, Axel reaches into the flames, and scoops out of glob of molten-- Something. And tosses it to Yrael.

"Souvenir?"

Yrael moves to catch it, sparks flying from where it touches the burning, blue-white skin of his hands. He closes his hands around it.

"I'll treasure it," the Bright Shiner grins, opening his hands to reveal the shining, smooth stone that has resulted from the intense heat and pressure.

Axel flashes him another grin, and that's when the last of the Assassins turns up.

"Hey, good timing," Axel tells it.

The conflagration of the Cabal's facility should be visible well out to sea, at this time of night.

Yrael approves.

"What's the news?" he asks, light dimming until he is fully human-shaped again.

"...Another bust at the last place," Axel says. "But my Assassin saw someone suspicious-" he provides a description; dark clothes, sneaking... "-lurking about. Can't get a lot of detail, but it's better than a Dusk would've done."

There's a brief look of frustration on Yrael's face. "Well, so that makes three locations that were false. We can at least go see if the suspicious someone is worthy of note as well as suspicion."

"We might as well," Axel agrees. He dismisses the Assassin, and opens the portal, swirling oily black.

"And hey, if they turn out to be part of the Cabal, we can press them for information," he says as they head through.

"Such a civilised way of putting it," Axel comments.

"Not being too specific as to how leaves us free to be creative," Yrael smiles his most civil smile, though it's still a bit too toothy to be convincing.

"Of course."

It's not long before they're there, stepping out into damp tunnels.

Axel frowns, but says nothing.

Yrael wrinkles his nose at the damp mustiness of the tunnels.

Quietly, "We're underground, all right... near a harbor of some sort." He can smell it.

"Great," Axel mutters. "All right, let's see if we can find this guy."

"Should be around here somewhere," Yrael says, a bright figure stepping out into the dark tunnels.

Axel pulls his hood up over his hair; for some reason, he doesn't like this place.

There are frequent drips of liquid from whatever ceiling there is above them, lost in the darkness. What little light there is gets reflected off Yrael's eyes, glimmering like a cat's eyes in the darkness as they move silently through the tunnels.

From the layouts they had been given, there should be a major records storage facility somewhere up ahead.

As they approach another juncture of tunnels, there is the faint, gravelly sound of the bottom of someone's boot shifting against the muddy floor around the corner, causing Yrael to come to a sudden stop.

Axel does likewise, and shifts back, closer to the wall, glad of his coat; something about the environment makes him want to sneak. He shoots Yrael a curious glance; can he see or hear anything else?

Yrael's nostrils flare, his green eyes glowing in the darkness.

"Human," he mouths the word where Axel can see.

Though there is some small trace of something other than human.

"Has a gun," he mouths silently, with accompanying hand-motion illustration.

Axel nods, and extends his other senses a little, those things that he has no name for, that Lea never had, that let him get a feel for someone's heart--

"Strong," he mouths, angling his head so that his mouth will be visible, and tapping his chest over his heart. "Light."

Yrael's eyebrow quirks.

"Not Cabal, then."

Axel shakes his head.

No, they had all felt like Heartless-bait to him.

Yrael pauses, thinking.

"Whoever you are, we know someone is there," he says aloud. "We're unarmed."

For now it's true, after all.

A handgun barrel inches its way into view, the edge of a brunette woman in black just visible beyond it.

"Let me see your hands," she says, firmly, but without threat. She clearly won't hesitate to use the gun if necessary, but would rather not.

Yrael's hands, lifted slightly, are clearly empty.
